After his disappointing finish in yesterday's Iowa straw poll, Tommy Thompson has dropped out, as expected, from the Republican contest for 2008.  Next, Duncan Hunter, who received only 1.2% of the vote and finished in 9th place?

Sit tight, Duncan! (TheGreenMiles - 8/12/2007 10:08:22 PM)
Dude, Duncan Hunter should totally stay in the race, when those illegal immigrants from Latin America finally pull off that terrorist attack (illegal immigration is hurting our national security, right?), Hunter and Tancredo's poll numbers will go through the ROOF!  You just wait.

The more crazies that stay in the contest, the more fun that CNN/YouTube debate is gonna be.

Hunter (Chris Guy - 8/12/2007 11:12:57 PM)
said he's staying in and that he's satisfied with the result.

And what happened to Ron Paul? Lots hype about how he has an energetic, hardcore group of supporters and he finishes behind a nutball like Tancredo?

Members of the House need to stop running for President. Seriously.

Abraham Lincoln only served in the House... (James Martin - 8/13/2007 12:57:56 AM)
and c'mon- Duncan Hunter and Abraham Lincoln are so close in greatness that I sometimes confuse them!

Touche...lol (Chris Guy - 8/13/2007 1:38:34 AM)
at least Lincoln almost became a Senator. Tancredo, Paul, Hunter, and Kucinich wouldn't even be viable as Senate candidates.
