Terry Kilgore has a challenger this November.  His name is Jerry Taylor and here is some info directly from him:

I am 55 years old. I teach social studies at Thomas Walker High School in Ewing, Va. I grew up in Bell County, Kentucky. My father, grandfathers, and all my uncles on both sides were coal miners. I am a single father of two. My son James is 22, and finished is undergrad work at the University of Kentucky in June of this year. He is planning on starting his masters program in the fall or spring semester. ( I am a UK grad also. ) My daughter Tanya Nicole " Niki" just graduated from Thomas Walker High School in May. She is going to attend Tusculum College in Greenville, Tn. and plans on playing tennis. We attend Chadwell Station Baptist Church. I am assistant Adult Sunday School teacher, and Assistant song leader.

Politically I ran against Terry Kilgore ten years ago. That was my first attempt at political office. This is my second time running for office

Jerry has some interesting ideas.  He realizes it's a long shot, but it's definitely time for a change in this district and his campaign is gaining momentum.  Let's get the word out and help him gain support.

Contributions to Jerry's campaign can be sent to:
