Norfolk ? Standing with dozens of veterans and their families and General Wesley Clark at the Naval War Memorial in Norfolk, Lt. Governor and Democratic Nominee for Governor Tim Kaine unveiled his campaign?s Veterans for Kaine committee today. The group includes veterans of all branches of the armed services and is committed to electing Tim Kaine on November 8th to keep Virginia moving forward on the issues important to Virginia?s growing veteran community and their families.

?Tim Kaine is a good person and he?s got the right values,? said General Wesley Clark, the former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO?s European forces. ?You?ve got to have the courage and the ability to stand up and make a difference and get things done. Tim Kaine has done that. He?s going to be a great governor for veterans and he?s going to be a great governor for Virginia.?

?Tim Kaine has been working on veterans? issues for a long time,? said former Congressman Owen Pickett. ?I am convinced that Tim Kaine, as Governor, is going to follow through and do what?s right, what?s appropriate and what?s honorable for the veterans of this state.?

The entire announcement, plus Tim Kaine's plan to "Keep Virginia Moving Forward for our Veterans," is available at the Kaine campaign's website.  Great stuff.
