Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketMuch fun and excitement was had last night, July 25th, at the home of Susie Warner in Alexandria. Headlined by Gov. Mark Warner, Del. Brian Moran, and Congressman Jim Moran, along with many other fantastic sponsors and ardent supporters of George, this event was all that it could have been and more. 175 guests attended to show their solidarity for the next State Senator from the 39th District. At the end of the speeches, George presented Gov. Warner with a blueberry cake which is symbolic of the campaign's commitment to turning the Commonwealth of Virginia blue.

Please be sure to mark your calendars for August 1st, when Senate Minority Leader Dick Saslaw and State Senator Creigh Deeds will be headlining our next large event at the Barker Campaign Headquarters. Stay tuned to our website at www.barkerforsenate.com for information about our upcoming events.

Warner Barker Event (seamusotoole - 7/27/2007 9:55:33 PM)
Fabulous event.  Gov. Warner likened George's race to
Webb and his being elected to making a majority in the Senate.  George Barker may very well be the individual to
tip the balance in the State Senate.  He has incredible support from the National Association of Social Workers,
Sierra Club, etc. etc. etc.  If the enthusiasm shown at this event is any indicator of how volunteers will get out there and work for George, he will be a shoe in.  Please get on board and get out there and work for George or send money!!!!! Let's make it a BLUE State Senate!!!!  He's going to make one terrific senator.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces from so many different Districts come out and show their support.  There were also several new faces too.

It was also be interesting to see what Governor Warner will be doing in these next couple of months.  I assured him that we'll be marching right with him in Buena Vista on Labor Day Weekend and will support his decision whatever it might be.
