Questions and key topics not addressed last night

Last night, Larry Sabato and the panel of questioners missed a bunch of important topics, and did what I think was a disservice to the people of Virginia.  Now, perhaps not all of the issues below could have been fit in, but perhaps Larry Sabato et al. could have cut out at least one or two of the no less than SEVEN abortion and death penalty questions, to make room.  Take a look at some of the issues that were left out.

Business issues. How do we bring more businesses and investment into Virginia?

Illegal Drug Trade. How do we take care of the drug problem in Virginia, including Methamphetamines (which we know Kilgore WILL NOT fight against in order to protect his buddies in the pharmaceutical companies)?

Gangs.  Northern Virginia and other areas of the Commonwealth face increased gang activity.  How do we break up gangs, and keep young people out of their grasp?  Kaine mentioned Project Exile, but Jerry Kilgore (whose main positions of authority have been related to law enforcement) also should have been asked this type of question.

Health Care.  This is one of the most important issues out there, yet not a single question was asked about it!  The cost of health care has skyrocketed, and I for one am sick of it.  How would the candidates address increasing health care costs for businesses and individuals?

Jobs.  Another no-brainer, but once again, not a single question was asked.  How do we create MORE jobs for Virginians?

Seniors. Another topic not addressed.  With Jerry W. Kilgore?s pal, President Bush, cutting Medicaid, how can we protect Virginia?s at risk seniors from poverty?
