Writing My Book

As you may know, I'm currently co-authoring a book for Praeger entitled "Netroots Rising: How Citizen Activists Are Changing American Politics." I'm excited about this book, but first I've got to finish it. For that reason, and because a manuscript is due to Praeger at the end of September, I'll be a bit scarcer around Raising Kaine for the next few weeks. I'm not going to abandon my little corner of the netroots, but writing a book is much harder than blogging and it's going to require some serious concentration. So, for the next few weeks, I doubt I'll be involved in any new projects, and my blogging activities will most likely be somewhat slower. As always, I invite the RK community and my fellow "front pagers" to post information and analyses from around Virginia here at RK. Thanks, and let's keep the "netroots rising" in the Commmonwealth! :)

Lowell, good time of year to be distracted from RK as August will be pretty slow. Just don't let you're writer's "surge" go past September! Ha! Best of luck and we're looking forward to your product.

Anyone can write a book . . . The trouble is that intelligent, interesting, and memorable books are never spontaneous. Get busy!!
