2nd Annual National Democratic Reunion Organizing Day -- Will Virginia be participating?

Looking at a newsletter from the NC Democratic Party's Chair (Jerry Meek), NC is planning and promoting the 2nd Annual Democratic Reunion Organizing Day on July 28th and will follow the National Party's theme of energy and the environment.  It looks like an opportunity for Democrats to outwardly show their support for recycling, water conservation, global warming, and similar planet-friendly ideas (Democratic values).  The DNC website has lots of ideas for either taking action (planting trees, cleaning roadways, starting recycling programs) or for educating our fellow citizens about energy conservation.

Considering the transportation/energy and environmental issues that vex Virginia and with elections less than 5 months away in Virginia, I'm surprised that there's nary a word regarding an opportunity to promote these issues which might attract Virginia voters to voting for Democrats this fall!  Maybe I'm just not in the loop?
