Rep. Davis is speaking to fellow Republicans in Virginia Beach.  Here are a few interesting quotes:

*"If you brought everyone back [from Iraq] tomorrow, they're be cheers in the streets today, but 6 months later there'd be buyer's remorse."
*"Focus on Al Qaeda, focus on our enemies is putting people into Afghanistan and Iraq and stopping America there, you pull back, it moves over here very very quickly."  Huh?  Stopping America there?  If we pull out they'll be in the streets of Fairfax?  Ee gads.
*"We've lost the swing voters across the state."
*"The new people coming in from New Jersey, Pennsylvania...we have not been adressing these swing voters and we need to do that."
*"By the way, Jeannemarie is working a couple of swim meets this morning."  Huh?
*"We need to be able to hold all these [three NOVA Senate] seats, but they're going to put a lot of money into these seats, not from Northern Virginia by the way, the money will come from the Governor, it will come from the SEIU...as they try to take the state back."

It's interesting how Davis aligns himself with George Allen... (bladerunner - 7/9/2007 7:48:04 PM)
...and his taking the credit for people coming into Virginia is laughable...I would think  Mark Warner and Tim Kaine had quite a bit to do with that. Can't get away with that one Mr. Conservative Davis.

Also Someone, and that someone should be Chap or someone in the press, should ask Jenmarie Attoinette Davis if she agreed with Tom Davis' supeana to keep Terry Schiavo in a permenant vegatative state against her wishes.

OMG (Adam Malle - 7/9/2007 9:12:06 PM)
*"Focus on Al Qaeda, focus on our enemies is putting people into Afghanistan and Iraq and stopping America there, you pull back, it moves over here very very quickly."

So, is he actually advocating the use of our troops as easy targets in their country to keep the terrorists out of ours? Great strategy? just tell them to stay home and in return we will just send the targets to them. It is fascinating how they can get away with this s***t. do they consider Americans dying over seas as somehow more acceptable then Americans dying here. Here?s a thought, how about using some of that half trillion spend on giving them easy targets a put it towards domestic security. Pro-life my ass. I guess that doesn?t apply to our troops or poor (and middle class for that matter) or uninsured or seniors or veterans or children or disabled or...  the list goes on.

Talking to Themselves (Susan P. - 7/10/2007 7:04:35 AM)
"We Republicans have been talking to ourselves the last few years."

"Nick Rerras, they're going after him big time, I was talking to Nick Rerras the other day...."
No doubt discussing the FemiNazis.  Wondering what the big deal was.
