Ben's and my Blog Talk Radio show resumes this week with special guest, Chap Petersen.  As you probably know, Chap is running for State Senate from the 34th district against Jeannemarie Devolites Davis.  We hope to speak with Chap about his campaign, as well as his views on Metro to Dulles, the new traffic "fees," the environment, his case for unseating JMDD, and much more.

The show airs live tomorrow (Sunday) from 8 to 9 PM, and the call in number is (646) 652-2679.

Congrats to Chap... (elevandoski - 6/30/2007 9:55:16 AM)
on his Virginia Partisans endorsement!

Great candidate, great support. Lose the bow tie. (Tom Counts - 7/1/2007 4:17:06 PM)
Trivial point from a 66 year old who never liked bow ties (even when I wore a bow tie once in high school because they were clip-on. My classmates laughed at me so hard I threw it in the trash). I just don't want to see anything, not even trivial tie preference, distract voters for a second from Chap's great qualifications.

Given my obvious bias against bow ties, I'd like to see Chap go without a tie occassionally like Edwards does sometimes (but not jeans; that may be a bit too casual for Chap). Any campaign fashion experts out there who'd like to comment ?

not a fashion expert but..... (WillieStark - 7/1/2007 8:49:25 PM)
Tucker Carlson used to wear one of those yuppie ass things. I hated it then and now.

Besides, the summer, with its vicious heat makes the thought of wearing even a normal tie unbearable. I agree, go with the open collar and a nice pair of light wool pants. A good crisp shirt and lightweight wool sportcoats would fit well on the campaign trail.
