Believe it or not, as of today, Tim Kaine has been endorsed by thirty (30) newspapers.  Those include Virginia's most widely read papers, such as the Washington Post (weekday Virginia circulation of 308,656, the largest in the state), the Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk (186,005; third-largest in the state), the Roanoke Times (100,167; fourth-largest in the state); and the Daily Press of Newport News (93,286; fifth-largest in the state).

That's extremely impressive for Tim Kaine, especially when you add in several more small papers in Jerry Kilgore's home territory of Southwest Virginia: the Bristol Herald Courier, the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, and the Richlands News-Press.  In other words, it would appear that Tim Kaine has support all over Virginia, as well he should.

In contrast, Jerry Kilgore has been endorsed by a grand total of four (count 'em, 4) newspapers!  These are:  1) the Republican-owned and operated Richmond Times-Dispatch (second-largest paper in the state; Rep. Eric Cantor's wife is on the board); 2) Sun Myung Moon's far-right-wing Washington Times; 3) Tennessee's Kingsport Times-News (right-wing owners from northern Ohio; circulation 48,000, largely in Tennessee), and 4) the South Boston Gazette-Virginian (circulation: a whopping 14,384!).

That's it for Jerry Kilgore.  Wow.
