Paine in the Ass

I just got an answer from George Burke via email in regards to the 'Thomas Paine' shenanigans.

First of all, Mr. Burke informed me in his email that his cervical spine was accidentally damaged two months ago during surgery, and he's had to have additional surgery since then to try and correct it. Obviously I didn't know that when I jokingly said that George Burke had no spine. I said he was spineless because he anonymously calls fellow Democrats nazis and gang-bangers, not because he literally has no spine.

Anyway, after explaining this to me, he had this to say in regards to various comments from 'Thomas Paine' and 'Thomas Paine Patriot' I presented him with:

As for all of the quotes attributed to me in the character assassination/war being waged by your pals Ben and Lowell, I am reading many of them for the first time. I wish I could write that well.
I really have nothing else to add.

I Just Sent George An Email (Lee Diamond - 6/15/2007 12:37:33 AM)
I just sent George an email with my commentary about his tactics.  I did not address the Paine stuff.  The Paine stuff aside, George, Voldemort, etc have done plenty of damage that is in the public sphere for all to see.  The mailers about Charlie Hall for example.

I am full of blog posts.  I'm not sure how many will get written.  It kind of depends on whether Voldemort makes an effort to change his behavior.

Il Papa (Leonitis - 6/15/2007 9:18:05 AM)
I really view those pro-Smyth mailers as unforgiveable.  They were out and out dishonest.  The creative interpretation of a news article easily retrieved off the Washington Post web page was a new low.

No one who permits such nonsense to flow so easily with his imprimatur, as Gerry (il Papa) has done, is going to change his behavior.  I am looking at one of his flyers right now.  The one that says Linda is the only real Democrat in the race.  Ha ha ha.  I am laughing aloud.  Sounds to me like she was a somewhat Republican for quite awhile.  If she was such a real Democrat, then why did she wait to join the party until right before she ran for office.

And George, well, he'd better figure that there were a lot of people who came out to vote for Charlie Hall and they mostly are Democrats and would-be Democrats who feel alienated by FCDC.  But please refrain from calling him spineless, as it sounds like the poor fellow has had quite an ordeal and we should all wish him a full recovery, so that we may continue the hearty disagreements at 100%.

Wow (Ben - 6/15/2007 1:57:27 AM)
Identical IP addresses, identical writing style, identical candidates they support and identical friends in the party (I could give all the examples if needed).  He still is denying it?

I'm getting madder and madder.

Perhaps he's attributing the posts (HerbE - 6/15/2007 9:48:08 AM)
to his wife? Interesting. Waiting for his spine and brain to heal may be like waiting for Godot.

No, there was a second poster (Chris Guy - 6/15/2007 9:57:11 AM)
across from his computer on the grassy knoll.....

What if he had an unsecured wireless network??? (ericy - 6/15/2007 2:36:18 PM)

Any random person could park in front of his house and post those messages?

Unsecured wireless? (ewolfk - 6/15/2007 3:22:13 PM)
Shouldn't a political mastermind know to secure their network?

I haven't seen this in the US (Pain - 6/18/2007 12:50:49 PM)
...but I know for a fact in Europe some ISP's use their own internal gateway or proxy, and all of their subscribers have the same IP address.  It's not a very good practice and I'm not suggesting that is happening here, just pointing it out.

It could also be that he was posting from inside a corporation, for example, and any other employee at that company would have the same IP.
