Deeds Endorsements

I've given you the score (30-4) on newspaper endorsements in the Governor's race.  Now, what about Attorney General?  I don't have a definitive count, but here are a few good ones for Deeds:

Charlottesville Daily Progress

...here in this part of Central Virginia, we know Creigh Deeds.  We know him to be a straight-shooter, genuine and down-to-earth. We know his common sense and his common-man background.  We know he has served his constituents well from the state Senate seat he was elected to fill after Emily Couric?s death.

Staunton News Leader:

One issue that bothers us involves the failure by the Republican State Leadership Committee to disclose where more than $2 million used to finance this year's races came from ? including $2 of every $5 spent by the McDonnell campaign. What bothers us more is that McDonnell and his staff have dug in their heels, insisted they've done nothing wrong and failed to issue a call for the RSLC to release the campaign donor information. Sorry, but that just doesn't cut it anymore, not when we've heard that excuse emanating so often from Washington lately.

Roanoke Times: "Creigh Deeds is better suited for the office."

Daily Press: "Democrats are the more fiscally responsible choice."

Washington Post:  "Mr. Deeds, a rural lawmaker, is no liberal; he won the National Rifle Association's endorsement. We think he would be the more pragmatic choice, and a better attorney general."

Please let me know other ones you come across.  Thanks.

P.S.  As I've said many times, if every Virginian had a chance to meet Creigh Deeds face to face, he would win election in a landslide.  Yes, he's THAT good!
