Adding to the accelerating momentum of his campaign for positive change in the 79th House District, Henry Light has earned the endorsement of two of the most respected champions for the right to breathe clean air and enjoy the natural heritage of Virginia.

The League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club enthusiastically endorsed Light, praising his views on the issues of importance to those voters concerned about protecting water quality and the air we breathe.  These endorsements add to a growing list of influential groups backing Light, with just two weeks remaining before voters get to choose a new direction and reject more of the same.

Light's opponent, longtime politician Johnny 'Roadblock' Joannou, has consistently stood with polluters against outdoor enthusiasts and conservationists, and has one of the worst environmental voting records of anyone in the General Assembly.

In his long and not-so-illustrious career, Joannou has voted three times to allow offshore drilling projects that will harm Virginia's coastal waters and wildlife.  (Senate Bill 1396 (2007); Senate Bill 262 (2006); Senate Bill 1054 (2005)).

Johnny `Roadblock' also voted three times to weaken wetlands protection essential to water quality.  (House Bill 2572 (2001); House Bill 1170 (2000); Senate Bill 695 (2000)).

No wonder the League of Conservation Voters has given Johnny 'Roadblock' such dismal environmental ratings over the years.

When it comes to protecting your right to breathe clean air, drink clean water, hunt and fish and enjoy Virginia's natural beauty, Henry Light is the clear choice in the Democratic Primary on June 12!
