Seeking Distance

Could there be trouble brewing within the ranks of the Kilgore campaign?  ?Not Larry Sabato? has a post up that suggests Kilgore manager Ken Hutcheson found out that some Republican House candidates are not jumping at the chance to be included in a mailer with Jerry W.

In fact, the distance Delegates are seeking from Jerry W. is reminiscent of the same distance Jerry W. is maintaining from George W.  One Republican Delegate said ?I?m unopposed because I DON'T listen to Ken Hutcheson.?

House candidates in close races are bailing quickly, trying to distance themselves from Jerry.  Meanwhile his staff doesn't seem to know what to do now.

A group of Delegates is starting to plan how to go to Kilgore and get Ken reassigned to a less visible position.  How this plays out could decide the Governor's race, and many Delegate races below it on the ballot.

One has to worry when Jerry's fellow Republicans are trying to distance themselves from the top candidate on this year's ballot.
