Gore's "The Assault on Reason"

Al Gore, who should be president, now has a book out on Bush-and on the American people.  The New York Times has an excellent review of it on-line.  The review says "this book shows a fiery, throw-caution-to-the winds Al Gore, who, whether or not he runs for the White House again, has decided to lay it all on the line with a blistering assessment of the Bush administration and the state of public discourse in America."  This sounds like a book that all progressives should read.

Additional Note:  E. J. Dionne Jr. has an informative column about Gore's book in the Post.  Quote: "Whatever flaws he has, Gore suffered through an extreme injustice with great dignity. His revenge is to have been right about a lot of things: right about the power of the Internet, right about global warming and right about Iraq."

Gore and the Internet (Dianne - 5/22/2007 7:52:33 AM)
When I worked for the federal government in an IT job, Al Gore was the leading force in moving the government agencies towards developing an Internet presence.  It was amazing and so well-focused.  Thank you Al Gore!!!!

If Gore were to run he'd win (The Grey Havens - 5/22/2007 1:05:35 PM)
He'd get the nomination and he'd dominate the general.  Moreover, he would be one of the best Presidents in history.  There are so many potential disasters on the horiszon right now and Gore would directly address them.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed, publication of this book makes me thing it's more likely he'll get in the race.
