Kilgore Keeps Digging on Abortion

You know, there'a an expression that the best thing you can do when you find yourself in a hole is to quit digging.  Well, Jerry Kilgore just won't quit trying to explain himself on the issue of abortion, but the more he tries the deeper the hole gets - and the more hypocritical (or is that "hypothetical?") he looks.  Now, Waldo points out that "Virginia media has stopped letting this slide, and has started making some demands of Kilgore."  Better late than never...now let's see all the other papers, including ones owned by Republican-controlled Media General, do their job as well as the Roanoke Times and Virginian-Pilot.

By the way, Jerry, here's a "hypothetical" question for you.  Let's see if you can figure this one out (if not, I'm sure Scotty or Joey will help you).  If abortion is murder, and murder is punishable by the death penalty, then shouldn't abortion doctors and the women who receive abortions (perhaps you would call them "triggerwomen?") be sent straight to Death Row?  Or, do you not really believe that abortion is murder?  Or do you not really believe that murder should be punished by the death penalty?  Or what?  And how does this all tie into the "culture of life" you keep babbling about, whatever that means?  Call me stupid, but I'm utterly confused here. Can you please explain?  Thank you!

P.S.  Very shortly, abortion may no longer be a "hypothetical" issue if your model for leadership, George W. "40% approval ratings" Bush, appoints a right-wing extremist to Sandra Day O'Connor's Supreme Court seat.  All I can say, Jerry, is that you're going to need a REALLY big shovel for the digging you'll have to do then!!
