Answer the questions Mr. President

Kelly O'Donnell deserves a direct answer by President Bush to her question of whether or not he ordered Alberto Gonzales to John Ashcroft's hospital bedside in an effort to get the Justice Department to allow the unfettered use of warantless wiretapping and ignore the Foreign Intelligence Service Act (better know as FISA).

Media covering the President's fundraising visit for Virginia Republicans should be covering this too and asking questions like: How many warrantless wiretapping programs is your administration running?  Does your administration condone spying on Americans without FISA court approval?

Forget the Republicans... (Dianne - 5/18/2007 8:23:38 AM)
This seems to be one of the best Dem issues that candidates could use in their campaigns.

If carefully crafted, our Democratic candidates' message should rightfully horrify the everyday, average Virginian of how their government is spying on them.

If you readers haven't seen it, Frontline had an excellent program on this matter.  Note: the issue on data mining should sicken anyone watching the program.  http://www.pbs.org/w...

Thanks for the diary Shawn.
