This upcoming weekend, ActBlue will be traveling to Fairfax, Virginia!  Why, you might ask? We've been invited to join Democracy for America's Training Academy once again in giving our presentation about online fundraising. Our political director Erin Hill will be sharing tips, strategies, and of course the basics of integrating it into all parts of a typical campaign. We're excited to be on the road again after having a great time down in Austin, Texas last month.

More details about the even can be found here, and if you are in the area and interested in attending, you can sign up through that link as well. We're looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and likely one or two of the many Virginia campaigns that are already using ActBlue.

Everyone who can should attend (Shawn - 5/14/2007 9:27:25 PM)
Since 2004 Democrats have begun the serious work of moving Virginia forward and turning it blue.  We won at the top of the ticket with Tim Kaine in 2005, and again at the top of the ticket with Jim Webb in 2006 but lower level races have not met with electoral success.

We need to run candidates in every 2007 Virginia House of Delegate and Senate race and get positive movement for the 2008 U.S. Presidential, Senate, and Congressional races.

While I'm convinced the DPVA is getting better organized to win we must have the grassroots efforts in every one of these races.

I hope everyone that can attends the DFA/DFV/ActBlue training. as a step in getting serious about winning in '07 and '08.

I plan to attend Sunday's session after spending Saturday at the quaterly DPVA meetings in Virginia Beach and the Prince William County JJ dinner.
