Governor Tim Kaine, Congressman Bobby Scott, and Delegate Dwight Jones, and a capacity crowd estimated at over 700 welcomed Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama to Richmond May 8th.

Senator Obama spoke about using the upcoming election to turn the page of history to unite the U.S., restore our lost credibility internationally, have our government work for everyone, and make real advances in energy and the environment, education, and health care.  He talked of his work in trying to move the current administration to end the occupation of Iraq  and promised a swift resolution should his election still find us there.
