Kilgore and the "Culture of Death"

In reaction to the horrific Minnesota school shooting, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence (CPGV) has issued a press release.  The words of the CPGV, founded by former Reagan Press Secretary James Brady, are worth quoting, if for no other reason than to illustrate how America would look if Jerry Kill-more and his NRA allies got their way.  Here's an excerpt:

In recent months, we have seen horrible shooting attacks in shopping malls, office buildings, courthouses, the homes of judges, private hunting lands and it seems like every other kind of place we like to believe is safe.  And we're deluged with reports about legal guns that can shoot down airplanes, guns designed to kill police wearing body armor, and the FBI being forced to watch as terrorist suspects arm themselves with  firearms.

Our leaders are preaching about the culture of life.  They should spend the same amount of energy taking steps to stop our nation's culture of death.

We couldn't have said it better ourselves, and would just add that the school shooting in Minnesota is yet one more strong reason to vote for Tim Kaine this November.  By the way, Tim Kaine is not "anti-gun," as the Kilgore campaign would have you believe, but he is a believer in reasonable gun safety measures.  Let's make sure Jerry Kilgore and the NRA don't get their way, and that Virginia doesn't go the way of Minnesota!
