Everybody Loves Rudy

Oh, I'm sorry. That's a misprint. It should read:

Rudy Loves Everybody

Rudy Giuliani's hopeless quest to try and convince the GOP that he's not really a liberal is getting sadder and sadder by the day. Someone needs to tell this egomaniac that it's gonna take a lot more than mentioning Reagan 78 times in a 100 word essay to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.

In an effort to satisfy the pro-life crowd, Rudy says he personally "abhors" abortion and would never advise anybody to get one. So, um, why would a person who "abhors" abortion donate multiple times to Planned Parenthood? I guess what he meant was...he only started "abhorring" abortion in the past couple years.

And in terms of his Republican credentials? You know, the guy who endorsed Mario Cuomo for Governor over George Pataki? Listen to this quote from his MOTHER! Happy Mother's Day Rudy :)

He only became a Republican after he began to get all these (Justice Department) jobs," Rudy's mother, Helen Giuliani, told Barrett. "He's definitely not a conservative Republican. He thinks he is, but he isn't.

I just can't see how this guy wins the nomination (DanG - 5/8/2007 1:07:00 AM)
And even if he does, he better pray the Hillary is the Dem nominee.  Otherwise, he'll never be able to get his base to turn out.

Lets be realistic (Pain - 5/8/2007 7:28:24 AM)
We should all be so lucky to have either a Democrat, or Rudy to pick between on election day.  If you ask me, I'd much rather have Rudy on the Republican ticket than someone else.  Remember the old saying:  Be careful what you wish for.

I think we should campaign to *help* Rudy win the nomination.

Bottom line is .... (Dianne - 5/8/2007 7:49:44 AM)
his history appears to be callous and opportunistic and that scares me in a would-be leader.  And besides being a "flip flopper" on abortion is disgusting.  Either he respects women or he doesn't...
