Tonight, the folks at AMG got bored and decided to do a little VPAP crusin. We posed some questions. We've previously mentioned our hero's addiction to alcohol money:

AMG, Delegate for Sale
AMG, Cash, Booze & The Albo Cycle

and his penchant for loving of alcohol bills helping out his buddies downstate:

AMG, Albo, Guns & Money
AMG, Fighting for the Wineries of Springfield and Lorton

In the eight pages of donors listed on VPAP, how many real people have given to Del. Dave Albo from within the 42nd District so far this cycle?
5

Out of the $186,014 Del. Dave Albo has collected this cycle, how much of it has come from real people who live in the 42nd District?

0.8% ($1500)
Gary Knipling ($250), Ronald Harrell ($500), Mike Delguercio ($250), Donald Wayne ($250), & L.W. Brown ($250)

How much of his money so far this cycle has come from the alcohol industry?
17% ($32,000)

It's no big deal because remember what Del. Dave Albo says:

"Nobody expects anything in return."
Lobbies Treated Va. Lawmakers to $211,000 in Gifts, Food, Trips," Washington Post, B05 (Feb. 4, 2005).

Wait a minute! He was just talking about gifts of free dinners and event tickets in that quote. When they write big checks for his re-election, that probably means even less, right?

Can we start calling him (Draft Me Please - 5/3/2007 9:02:35 AM)
Dave "ATF" Albo?

He must really be loved (Not Harry F. Byrd, Sr. - 5/3/2007 9:16:05 AM)
by the People of the 42nd District.  Just look at all that money they're giving him....

Other than Dave Englin and Adam Ebbin, many of our own (and I won't name names for party sakes), seem to be addicted to the money from interests at direct odds with the best interests of the people (think greedy developers and HOT Lane contractors).

2 big ones (novamiddleman - 5/3/2007 4:16:57 PM)
A certain executive of a county with a whole lotta people in it

A certain senate leader of a party who also lives in the county with a whole lotta people in it

Why would you exclude Delegates Englin and Ebbin? (tx2vadem - 5/3/2007 5:48:54 PM)
I encourage you to look them up on VPAP.  Both have taken money from Altria (Philip Morris's parent company).  Both have taken money from the Virginia Beer Wholesalers Association.  Both have taken money from both Verizon and Dominion (though Ebbin has taken a whopping $5,400 which does not include employee individual donations).  Why it is necessary for them to accept these donations is a mystery to me since they run in overwhelmingly Democratic districts.
