This Sunday  evening at 8 PM, Ben and I will host the second in our series of live, Blog Talk Radio debates between Democratic candidates for contested nomination contests.  Last week, we had Margi Vanderhye and Rip Sullivan on our show.  This week, we've got Morris Meyer and Rex Simmons  on the show.  Rex and Morris are competing for the Democratic House of Delegates nomination in the 40th district (southern Fairfax County).

The debate will last for 1 hour, and will feature Del. Ward Armstrong as moderator and lead questioner.  We will be taking two call-in questions in each of the first two rounds at (646) 652-2679.  You can listen live here.

Check it out!

[UPDATE: Major technical difficulties with Blog Talk Radio caused us to limp along, then give up after about 17 minutes or so.  I'm trying to find out what happened, and will only do another show once I am assured that this will never happen again.  My apologies once again to Ward Armstrong, Rex Simmons, and Morris Meyer.  We will try to resolve this problem and reschedule.  Thanks.]

Can't wait (pitin - 4/27/2007 11:22:24 PM)
your debate between Margi and Rip was great, this one should be fantastically fun as well.

I think folks who have not had a chance to hear Rex on the issues... (SaveElmer - 4/27/2007 11:31:44 PM)
Will be mighty impressed!

Morris is an environmentalists dream candidate (GHerring - 4/29/2007 12:09:55 PM)
I consider myself an environmentalis.  Morris has  been campaigning on issue of protecting our environment, investing in renewable energey, and promoting the use of mass transportation. With that said, I think Morris would be a wonderful addition to the State House down in Richmond.

Plus, he is an experienced candidate, and ran for US Congress talking about the environment before talking about Climate Change was cool. A vote for Morris Meyer is a vote for the environmental movement which Al Gore has created.

I apologize for the technical problems which occured during the live debate tonight. We resolved the matter shortly after hearing the problems on your show.

Blogtalkradio is committed to building a platform which is open and available to anyone that so chooses, and although our site is still in "beta", the conversations that take place on our network are not.

We sincerely hope you will reschedule this debate to another day.
