"Transporation"

Jerry Kilgore sent out an interesting mailer in Northern Virginia a few days ago.  The conservative blogs were all excited as if it was going to change the entire course of the election.

For some reason, Kilgore got a big laugh out of the fact that Kaine took a few minutes to pose for a picture with some folks of the Dublin Lions Club, a great group in Southwest Virginia, and makers of the famous ?Lion Dog.?  I fail to see how spending some time in rural Virginia is a bad thing, but I guess Jerry has been in Richmond too long and enjoys making fun of Southwest Virginia when its politically advantageous.

Dublin Lions Club

However, what was most interesting about this mailer, in which Kilgore proclaimed to have a superior ?transportation? plan is that we learned that Kilgore cannot even spell the word ?transportation.?

How can we trust our state to a guy that cannot even spell the word - much less come up with a decent plan to address the traffic problems in Northern Virginia.

You should try drivi (Chris from ASL - 4/4/2006 11:28:11 PM)
You should try driving to Grundy, one county over from Dickenson...that is a real transportation problem...especially if you have motion sickness.

phinky: Apparently S (Jen Little - 4/4/2006 11:28:11 PM)
phinky: Apparently Southwestern VA has "transporation" problems not transportation problems - I suppose there is a difference.

P.S. I had Kilgore's staff proof my last post - hence "Novemeber" – Sorry

Southwest Virginia d (Brian - 4/4/2006 11:28:11 PM)
Southwest Virginia does have a transportation problem - we need MORE traffic.  I think the county I live in, Dickenson, maybe the only one in the state that does NOT have a single four-lane highway.

Can any of you all from Northern Virginia imagine not having a single four-lane highway?

When Kaine visited down here he reassured those at the event that he would continue working to bring us some traffic (i.e., jobs).

Southwestern Virgini (phinky - 4/4/2006 11:28:11 PM)
Southwestern Virginia has transportation problems? I thought they had more problems with jobs being outsourced overseas. Just goes to show how out of touch Kilgore is.

What will transpire (Teddy - 4/4/2006 11:28:11 PM)
What will transpire when Transporation rules? Jerry's new line of traffic on eastbound I-66 will drive off the cliff into the Potomac (no extra lane on the bridge); schools will be even more underfunded (who needs spelling classes anyway) because their money was sucked out of the general fund for transporation... yes, we definitely need a Transporation Program.  Actually, Kaine himself could do with a bit more specifics on his side, but at least he can spell the problem.

So Kilgore is poking (Jen Little - 4/4/2006 11:28:11 PM)
So Kilgore is poking fun at the Lions too!  Wow how low will he go!

So now we have Kilgore, who only cannot lead, he cannot answer questions, but now he cannot spell and pokes fun at civic organizations - who help the blind see!

I want more from a governor.  Much more!

I have said it before, and will say it again - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Tim Kaine for making the choice easy come Novemeber!

Tim Kaine for Governor all the way!

The Lion Dog looks yummy - I should have had breakfast!

I know one thing; (Neal2028 - 4/4/2006 11:28:11 PM)
I know one thing;

If I ever run for governor, I'll definitly have a TRANSPORATION program that "trusts the people..."(cough, cough)

Sorry TC. We had to (Brian - 4/4/2006 11:28:11 PM)
