Excellent news from the Oleszek for State Senate campaign...

Fairfax, VA-  Janet Oleszek, Democratic candidate for the 37th  State Senate District, announced today that she beat all expectations in the 2007 first quarter filing period with over $137,000 in receipts from over 500 donors.

With the 37th District giving the majority of its vote to Tim Kaine, Leslie Byrne, and Creigh Deeds in 2005, and Senator Jim Webb in 2006, the campaign will be one of the most competitive this year.  "Based on these impressive first quarter numbers, it is clear that the Oleszek Campaign will have the resources it needs to be able to compete in this battleground district," said Oleszek Campaign Manager Jonathan Murray.

"I am overwhelmed by the financial support my campaign has received in just three months of fundraising," said Mrs. Oleszek, a Fairfax County School Board Member.  "For too long the 37th District has been represented by someone who does not share the same values of his constituents. This is proof that people are ready for a change," she said.

Janet noted that over 500 individuals contributing shows how much of a grassroots effort this campaign will be, and clearly shows momentum going into November.  "I'm going to take the momentum we have gathered in the first quarter all the way to Richmond and replace ideology with common sense, pragmatic solutions," Oleszek added.

Let's keep the momentum going, please give generously. Thanks.

Great news (Teddy - 4/18/2007 10:38:35 AM)
It sounds as though we're all sick and tired of Cuccinelli, and rightly so. Keep the cash crashing in to crunch Cooch the kook, folks.

Fantastic news (pitin - 4/18/2007 2:20:41 PM)
and like Obama, look at the number of contributors, over 500!  500 contributors in the FIRST quarter for a State leg race is fantastic, Janet has some real momentum going.
