Tom Davis Raises $623,000 in 1Q07; $833,000 Cash on Hand!

According to Swing State Project, Tom Davis is raising "an astronomical amount" of money "for a House campaign."  Swing State adds:

Stack up Davis' $623,000 next to Warner's five Benjamins (yes, that'd be $500 even) raised during the same time frame, and I think we may have some pretty compelling evidence to believe that John Warner is heavily leaning towards retirement.

Let the games begin.

You mean, games like Mark Warner vs. Tom Davis for U.S. Senate?  Or, is Mark Warner more interested in being an executive again, aka Governor of Virginia in 2009?  Lastly, of course, there's the chance that Mark Warner will end up on a Democratic Presidential ticket in 2008, and possibly in the White House in 2009.  Stay tuned...
