Johnny Joannou: Running As A Democrat, Voting Like A Republican

When Gov. Mark Warner asked Democrats to get behind his plan to fund public education, public health, and public safety, the party united to move Virginia forward.

Except for Johnny Joannou.  He voted against better public schools, healthier children, and safer neighborhoods.  (HB 5018, 2004)

But when it was time to take a stand against Republican-driven efforts to make it harder for African Americans and seniors to vote, Johnny Joannou didn't hesitate.  He voted for requiring them to show ID at the polls.  (HB 425, 2000)

Message to Johnny Roadblock: It's about your record, not your rhetoric.  And your record shows you're running in the wrong primary on June 12.
