Rudy Giuliani: Good 'Ol Boy

I feel bad for saying negative things about Rudy Giuliani in the past. I take it back, I LOVE Rudy. He's hilarious! He got things started earlier this year by comparing George W. Bush to Abraham Lincoln. Then last week he tried with all his might not to remind Republicans primary voters of Bill & Hillary Clinton when Barbara Walters interviewed him and his most recent wife, Judith. This week Rudy's wining and dining in a state home to people he feels he has a lot in common with. Of course I'm speaking of Alabama.
To show these simple small town folks how he can relate to them, he was asked about the cost of a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk. But I guess the housekeeper at the Giuliani's home in the Hamptons didn't return Rudy's calls in time to give him the answer, so he gave it his best shot:
"A gallon of milk is probably about a $1.50, a loaf of bread about a $1.25, $1.30," he said.

A check of the Web site for D'Agostino supermarket on Manhattan's Upper East Side showed a gallon of milk priced at $4.19 and a loaf of white bread at $2.99 to $3.39. In Montgomery, Ala., a gallon of milk goes for about $3.39 and bread is about $2.

When it came to the sensitive issue of race relations, Rudy said that displaying the confederate flag should be left up to the states. But he added that he never saw the flag during his visit. The site of Rudy's press conference where this question was raised? The Alabama State House; home to, not one, but four confederate flags on display.

As Rudy's friend Don Imus? Giuliani does plan on making future appearances on his show. He says that he believes Imus' apology for his disgusting, racist comments about Rutgers U. Women's Basketball Team was sincere. Evident by the fact that Mr. Imus refered to Rev. Al Sharpton and Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick (D-MI) as "you people" during said "apology."
