Breaking: Richardson: Competent. Bush: uuuuhh Not So Much.

Breaking news:  Democratic Presidential candiate Bill Richardson appears to have negotiated arms inspection access in North Korea, a feat that has eluded the incompetent Bush Administration low these 6 long, failed, years.

How is it that our back bench is outdoing the leader of the free world?  That's a good question, worthy both of a investigation and a hearty chuckle at our failed president's expense.

Albuquerque TV Reports:

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson's visit to North Korea appears to be yielding unexpected fruit.

Richardson, part of a bipartisan delegation dispatched to North Korea to return remains of U.S. MIAs, appears to have secured a concession from the communist state on its developing nuclear weapons program.

Monday, a North Korean nuclear arms negotiator relayed to Richardson that the country would be willing to allow international U.N. arms inspectors into the country if some $25 million in North Korean money that has been frozen is released.


During the Kaine campaign I got to be good friends with a guy who I'll call Jerod, who was on loan from the ranks of Bill Richardson supporters to help ensure a Kaine victory.  One of the most amazing things I discovered about Bill Richardson from my friendship with Jerod, was a little-known and surprising political fact:  Koreans love Bill Richardson. 

I'm still unsure of the background here.  I believe that Richardson, when he served as Bill Clinton's Energy Secretary, was able to broker a number of mutually-advantageous deals with South Korea and built strong relationships on both ends of the penninsula.

So, it shouldn't be surprising that Bill Richardson, now a 2nd tier candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination, was able to
