Why Does Dave Albo Hate Renters?

According to Albo Must Go:

WTOP reports that Gov. Kaine is saying if the "transportation" bill is signed unamended, Northern Virginia apartment building tenants should expect to pay $30 to $70 more per month in rent to make up for the proposed $0.25 commercial property tax assessed against their landlords - one of Del. Dave Albo's ideas.

Of course, as Albo Must Go points out, Del. Albo is the person who said, "My job is to fight for my people, my people are wealthy."  Yeah, and last time I checked, renters tend to be poorer than homeowners. Hmmm.  In addition, Albo has received $23,000 from realtors and property managers since 1997.  You think that has something to do with why "Albo Hammers Renters Again?"

Affordable Housing (Teddy - 3/23/2007 4:21:37 PM)
is a concern of Realtors as well as most Democrats, and this latest Albo gambit certainly does adversely impact affordable housing in Northern Virginia. Looks like a campaign issue for Albo's opponent, among all the other issues.

Here's my solution (totallynext - 3/23/2007 6:58:51 PM)
Just make the I-95 / I-495 a toll road with tax credits for Virginia residents living in the immediate counties ajacent to Washington DC.  All other pay full price.  That includes visitors and every single New Yorker that goes to Florida.....
