Richmond Times-Dispatch reporter Jeff Schapiro has an article today entitled, "Kaine takes many turns on road plan."  Among other things, Schapiro makes the following points:

*"Tim Kaine is always searching for new shades of gray. This gets him in trouble with a General Assembly for which issues are largely black or white."

*Kaine is "consistently inconsistent."

*"[P]olitics is moving beyond the partisan to the personal" at the Virginia Statehouse

*"Within the House Republican Caucus...distaste for Kaine is palpable."

*"Ridicule is [House Republicans'] modus operandi."

*"Kaine is a victim of his predecessor's success."

*GOP bashing of Kaine is about "denying him momentum for the balance of his term" and "reduc[ing] him to a footnote."

No wonder why people hate politics.

consistently inconsistent (fouro - 3/19/2007 9:37:57 PM)
is Jeff's most appealing characteristic, second is a tie between maddeningly muddled and feverishly fickle.
