This was quite the end to a glorious St. Patty's day that had a less than stellar start for me ... stuck in a traffic jam on I95 after leaving the house a little late and missing the pancakes (don't you hate when that happens) ... I understand the breakfast was a huge success with Senator Jim Webb and Congressman Jim Moran there to help Delegate Moran meet and greet all the Irish that came out.
At tonight's dinner I gave out some awards for some very special volunteers from our 2006 campaign ... one helping hand award to Barbara Burgess, Jay Morrison & Abraham ... one to Bill Day ... and the 2006 Huel Meadows Memorial Award to Leslie & Nate Bayer
Along with great conversation we all got to hear Brian Moran talk about the legislative session and the importance of getting Democrats elected all accross the Commonwealth ... he even threw in a few Irish jokes and closed with an appropriate Irish blessing!
