Netroots Challenge: $1,000 to Donald McEachin by Sunday at 8 PM? [UPDATE: How about $2,000?]

Over at Not Larry Sabato, Ben Tribbett has issued a challenge to the netroots:

Wouldn't it be great if the netroots could get Donald to $1,000 raised by tomorrow night's [Blog Talk Radio] show?  Right now he is at $408.  Can we raise another $592 in the next 24 hours?

Please click here and help out- every little bit helps.  Let's show Donald how much we appreciate what he did last year.

I couldn't agree more. Let's do it! :)

[UPDATE: We blew past our $2,000 goal overall and are now about to just hit $3,000.  That includes $738.59 $1,443.68 for Donald McEachin.  Way cool, how about $2,000 for Donald McEachin by tomorrow evening? Also, besides Del. McEachin, wouldn't it be great to help Carlos del Toro kick off his campaign tomorrow with a bang? :)  Thanks, you all rock! - Lowell]

Over $900 for McEachin! (True Blue - 3/3/2007 8:03:32 PM)
We're going to blow past that goal!

Need any more motivation? (Lowell - 3/3/2007 9:39:54 PM)

Beat. Benedict. Lambert.

And then there's this (Lowell - 3/3/2007 9:46:48 PM)

in for a penny, in for $20.07 (teacherken - 3/4/2007 12:08:47 AM)
following the old netroots pattern of indicating a netroots contribution.

There was one person on list I did not know so skipped, 20.07 for all else including RK pac.

"Century Club" Donation to Donald McEachin (cycle12 - 3/4/2007 4:32:54 AM)
Agreed, Lowell; adding Donald McEachin to the list of possible recipients of this fundraising effort is an excellent idea.  If one wishes to cite individuals who made a monumental difference in Jim Webb's winning U. S. Senate campaign last year, Donald McEachin should be at the top of any such list.

Very early on, when others were retreating from support of Webb due to his frequently misquoted and misunderstood statements about affirmative action, McEachin stepped forward, endorsed Webb and, as they say...the rest is history.

I have added Donald McEachin to my list of "Century Club" donation recipients and would urge others to do likewise in any size contribution possible.

McEachin was there for us in 2006, and we need to be here for him now.

Thanks!

Steve
