$47.42 to Reach Our Goal [UPDATE: We Reached $1,000 in 3 Days!]

We started our Democratic candidates fundraising drive on Monday, with a goal of hitting $1,000 in 15 days. Now, after just three days, we're at $952.58, $47.42 from meeting our goal 12 days early! Thanks to everyone who's donated already to our fine candidates and/or the Raising Kaine PAC. Who's going to be the generous one to put us over the $1,000 goal?
My contribution: $
P.S. Once we hit $1,000, we'll start adding additional candidates. We'll also increase our fundraising goal, since the point of all this is to raise as much netroots money for Chap Petersen and the rest of our fine Democratic candidates as possible. Thanks again.

You did it, Lowell! (FxbAmy - 3/1/2007 8:25:56 AM)
As of this morning, total fundraising is $1002.56!  Another big thank you from the Del Toro campaign.  We greatly appreciate the attention for Carlos and other outstanding progressive candidates that this drive has offered.

WooHOO (pitin - 3/1/2007 11:11:26 AM)
Congrats to the whole RK community, we made our first goal, now let's do it again!

Quick question though, Why does ActBlue still have McEeachin listed for a HoD run, has he not formally declared to run against Benny?

I don't understand that... (Lowell - 3/1/2007 11:31:22 AM)
n/t

declaration (DukieDem - 3/1/2007 1:20:26 PM)
If he announces, he wouldn't do it until after the Assembly is out of session. Doesn't make sense to pick a fight in the middle of the game...

we're figuring that out (KTatActBlue - 3/1/2007 2:06:16 PM)
I'm working with Lowell on making sure we have everything square away with McEachin for adding him to the RK efforts. I'm waiting on a response back from the Board of Elections to see how he is officially filed right now. No sense raising money for his House account if it can't be transferred to a Senate account or some weirdness.

Thanks, that makes sense. (Lowell - 3/1/2007 2:09:27 PM)
In the meantime, I promised to add someone, so who do you all want to see on our list?

"Century Club" Donation to Donald McEachin (cycle12 - 3/2/2007 9:01:16 AM)
Agreed, Lowell; adding Donald McEachin to the list of possible recipients of this fundraising effort is an excellent idea.  If one wishes to cite individuals who made a monumental difference in Jim Webb's winning U. S. Senate campaign last year, Donald McEachin should be at the top of any such list.

Very early on, when others were retreating from support of Webb due to his frequently misquoted and misunderstood statements about affirmative action, McEachin stepped forward, endorsed Webb and, as they say...the rest is history.

I have added Donald McEachin to my list of "Century Club" donation recipients and would urge others to do likewise in any size contribution possible.

McEachin was there for us in 2006, and we need to be here for him now.

Thanks!

Steve

(PS:  Lowell, your later RK diaries about McEachin will not allow comments to be posted, or is it just me?!)

Which diaries are you talking about? (Lowell - 3/2/2007 9:04:00 AM)
I haven't heard of any problems, but let me know and I'll look into it...

Thanks.

Lowell

The two subsequent ones about McEachin... (cycle12 - 3/2/2007 9:36:39 AM)
...entitled "We've added..." and "We've raised..."

I could not post comments in those diaries.

I repeat; it could just be me...

Thanks!

Steve

I just tested it... (Lowell - 3/2/2007 9:44:34 AM)
doesn't seem to be any problem.  What error message are you getting?  Thanks.

No error message... (cycle12 - 3/2/2007 10:19:14 AM)
...but nothing happens when I attempt to "preview" or "post" under those two diaries. It's as though the message isn't being received at all.

Also, please note that, as of yet, those two diaries have no comments posted under them...

Others may have made attempts to post comments there and simply given up.

And I will, too, soon...

Thanks again!

Steve
