It seems that there have been a number of stories on Obama's standing with the African-American community.  To review but a few:

1.  Debra Dickerson fired a shot in her Salon.com article by writing that Obama was never "black for a living" and remarking about his white supporters:  "You're not embracing a black man, a descendant of slaves. You're replacing the black man with an immigrant of recent African descent of whom you can approve without feeling either guilty or frightened."

2.  On Valentine's Day, NPR ran a segment reporting how many in the African-American community question whether he is "black enough" or can even be called African-American.  You have Debra Dickerson on the air expressing her anger at white people for their support of him.

Today, 2/27, you have these two contradictory articles:

3.  The Washington Post ran an article titled, "African American Voters Shift Support to Obama."  The article reports that Clinton has lost her lead over Obama among African-Americans.
"In December and January Post-ABC News polls, Clinton led Obama among African Americans by 60 percent to 20 percent. In the new poll, Obama held a narrow advantage among blacks, 44 percent to 33 percent. The shift came despite four in five blacks having a favorable impression of the New York senator."

4.  CNN has an article, "Obama getting a cool reception from black America," which is quoting December polls numbers between Clinton and Obama.
