The Nevada Democratic Party announced that they've teamed with Fox News to broadcast their Democratic Presidential Debate Aug. 14 in Reno. While the Nevada Democrats have bent over backwards to try and justify this decision, an unexpected ally has jumped to there defense. DNC Chairman Howard Dean. But not even Dean's most loyal supporters amongst the netroots are attempting to spin this one in his favor. The very bloggers so responsible for Dean's rise to prominence are beside themselves. And it's not hard to figure out why...In fact, here was Howard Dean in 2005 when Dick Cheney criticized the Democratic Party for electing him their new Chairman on the Hannity & Colmes show:
My view is that Fox News is a propaganda outlet of the Republican Party and that I don't comment on Fox News.
Just a few weeks ago, Barack Obama made the decision to "freeze out" Fox News for the outrageous smears made against him. Now Obama is being put in the position to either skip yet another Nevada forum, or go back on his word. Also, there is talk that the CBC is in talks with Fox News to televise their debate again this year, as they did in '03.

Aren't the ongoing attacks on Obama enough evidence that Fox News is not serious about fair coverage?
Why trust them? Haven't the last 7 years of non-stop Democratic bashing been enough to make us suspicious?
I am all for giving people chances to show good character, but Fox News can prove at any time with their daily coverage. I haven't seen any evidence of good will.
I think I heard Rove rolling on the floor, holding his stomach in pain, with tears, laughing, when he learned about this deal.
Well, if you find a flunky...
