Cross-posted from Next Generation Democrats blog.

Hey Everyone,

If you're in the Northern Virginia or DC area, come meet your Northern Virginia candidates for the '07 Virginia Legislature cycle in the GMU College Democrats first annual cattle call on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 7:30PM.

All candidates will be given a few minutes to speak and then there will be a meet and greet afterwards.

In case you're not aware, '07 is a hugely important year, the Democrats need to flip only 3 Senate to break the GOP State Senate majority, and only 4 seats to win the majority outright!

Well, three of those pickups are going to come in Northern Virginia, and all Democratic candidates in those districts are confirmed.

If you have facebook, you can see the details and RSVP HERE. If you don't have a facebook account, see the details below the fold.
PS:
Confirmed are:
Delegate Dave Marsden, 41st District
Janet Oleszek for State Senate, 37th District
Greg Galligan for State Senate, 39th District
George Barker for State Senate, 39th District
Rex Simmons for State Delegate, 40th District
Morris Meyer for State Delegate, 40th District
Joe Abbey, Campaign Manager for Chap Petersen for State Senate, 34th District
Stephen Davis, Campaign Manager for Margi Vanderhye for Delegate, 34th District

More to come later in the week!!!!

I've also receive confirmation from Dave Miller, who's running for clerk of the court in Fairfax County, that he will be able to attend the meeting.

WOOOO (pitin - 2/22/2007 5:18:58 PM)
This is getting exciting, great time to be a College Democrat in Northern Virginia.

First Obama, now this event, it almost seems like Virginia is turning blue, who wudda thunk it?

Don't forget, this event is open to the public, you need not be a college student to attend, just someone who wants to meet some great Democratic candidates.
