Virgil's Quiet Side

Virgil Goode, the quintessential "divide side" politician went out of his way to criticize the newly elected and native born Rep. Keith Ellison for choosing to take his oath of office in a private ceremony on the Quran.

More recently, Rep Goode embarrassed Virginian's with a xenophobic tirade on the House floor claiming Muslims wanted to take "in God We Trust" off our currency and fly the Crescent flag over the White House.

Yet Virgil Goode seems to have unlimited faith in Republican money sources no matter what ethnic or religious group they belong to.

One big money source, Mr. Abdul Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari gave $15,250 to the NRCC since 2002, according to FEC records published on the Web site opensecrets.org.

Mr. Alishtari has also under federal indictment for funding terrorists. The indictment against Alishtari unsealed in Manhattan federal court last Friday (Feb 16) charges him with providing material support to terrorists by transferring $152,000 between banks to allegedly be used to purchase night-vision goggles and other equipment needed for a terrorist training camp.

And not one xenophobic peep from Virgil Goode. Could it be that a few well placed green-backs is the key to putting Virgil's mouth in neutral?

For the update and new info. Someday he will be caught in the cookie jar. After so many 60 and 70 percent wins he feels real secure and arragance will bring it about.
