"It's not the critic who counts."

Recently I posted a piece on Jerry Kilgore's irresponsibile plans for the commonwealth, his failure to set direction, his lack of executive experience, and his general failing as a civic figure.  My assertion:  Mr. Kilgore is a deadbeat.

Yesterday, Mr. Kilgore reinforced my characterization of him as a deadbeat

He came out with a broad, general attack on Tim Kaine's record as Mayor of Richmond.  There are smarter guys here who will do a better job researching the mischaracterizations that Mr. Kilgore is putting out.  Suffice to say, if Mr. Kaine had been in charge of the Bosnian war, in which not a single American was killed, Mr. Kilgore would have accused him of "throwing money" at the problem.

My point is, Mr. Kilgore has no place charging Mr. Kaine with anything.  Kilgore has no record to comapare. 

Kilgore's years in office as Mayor: 0
Kilgore's years on city council: 0
Kilgore's years of executive experience: 0

The Kaine Campaign had this to say: "Jerry Kilgore's credibility has hit an all-time low".  I agree.

Teddy Roosevelt had this to say:

Again, I agree. Yesterday Jerry Kilgore showed his "cold and timid soul".  Mr. Kilgore can claim no leadership qualification, because he has never shown leadership.  He's not a doer of deeds, he's just a critic. 

Mr. Kilgore has no executive experience, he offers no leadership.  His candidacy is a vacuum, shortchanging all of us.  From Mr. Kilgore we get nothing but attacks and fear-campaigns.  Mr. Kilgore's campaign cheats Virginia of a substantive opportunity to make an informed choice. 

I would suggest to Mr. Kilgore that he "put up or shut up."

What a deadbeat!
