Rerras Must Go

In today's Virginian-Pilot -- available online at http://content.hampt... , a candidate for a judgeship reveals what happened when she had an interview with Senator Nick Rerras as he tried to decide who he would support to be a Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Judge in Norfolk. Mary Commander makes clear that he had two dominant criteria: the successful candidate must be an active Republican -- which she took to mean a Republican contributor -- and must oppose abortion.
Is someone running against Rerras? If not, why not?
