Top Kilgore Supporter: Assassinate President of Venezuela

Look, I know I've been posting some crazy stuff about Republicans on this blog recently: a picture of a "scared" black man, circa 19th century, from a Republican County Committee website here in Virginia; Jerry Kilgore's "paranoid" claims that the MS-13 gang and Al Qaeda are connected; right-wing Republicans attacking faith-based groups and bailing out on Bush; etc.  All I can say is, "hey, I don't make up this shit!"

Now comes another real doozy:  big-time Jerry Kilgore supporter, Rev. Pat Robertson, calling for the assassination of Venezuela's President, Hugo Ch?vez!  Believe it or not, this is what the "man of God" on "The 700 Club":

You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if [Ch?vez] thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war...We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with.

Check out the video right here.  Amazing.

So when is Jerry Kilgore going to start denouncing and retracting his own "paranoid" comments, the crazy/hateful/bizarre statements of his supporters, the offensive caricatures of African Americans on Republican websites, etc?  Again, none of us here at RaisingKaine are holding our breaths, but one can always hope that Jerry "the Duck" will stop "ducking," and start leading, for a change.
