What do these rules mean?

"Submit New Story
RULES
The following are prohibited and could lead to loss of account privileges. Advertising or commercial solicitation without our permission; defamation, slander, abuse or threats against others; obscene materials; bigoted or racially offensive statements."

I got nailed last week for cut and pasting a Washington Post article. The surprising thing too was it wasn't the whole article and I provided a link.  Still in the words of one, "not cool."  However when people put video up, like something from Youtube, couldn't that be considered, "advertising or commercial solicitation without our permission"  Where was this permissiom slip posted on Raising Kaine of what's permissable and what's not?  I gather MAXIM magazine links aren't welcome here because there's women on this board and of course this is a political board, but I posted the Washington Post.  You know, Woodward and Bernstein, the paper they worked for, to uncover Nixon's administration that was so corrupt and the one that Bush model's his from? That's a mainstream newssource for millions of readers, including me. And yet that's banned, so ban the NY Times, the Boston Globe. It doesn't change the fact that millions of people read this stuff. This board thinks of itself as a muckraker and crediable, but to do so you need everything you can hold the light up to.

Interestingly enough, you're only limited to parts of this board. And Ironically the part that I can't get to because I'm denied access, is how to make your posts better.  I'm putting this up because I don't want to get into trouble again.  I thought of a great journalistic serial called "Catch the New American Monarchy," which is taking a look at Hillary Clinton's run for the presidency, yet its on hold because two influential people have their egos up their ass on what's "permissable".

Now on another note, I'm taking responsibilty for another post, because I tried to defame someone.  It was during the Falls Church Episcopal church breakaway and he had suggested that Falls Church should change its name to something else so as not to associate with bigotry, and as a native of Falls Church,I was deeply offended by that. And I sought to discredit him. And someone even mentioned that trivial posts like changing the Falls Church name is not what this board needs.  I don't usually defame people but I thought this was a good exception.  So with that said, I go back to my origanal post about how do people and how should people interpret the rules within reason?
