I'm taking the plunge with my new blog at BeltwayProgressive. After the welcome, my first post is an update on the 100 Hours of Legislation at Congress.org.

I hope you'll drop by, and those more experienced bloggers please drop a comment with some tips and ideas.  Thanks!
Congress.org will monitor votes and send weekly updates telling you what votes are upcoming, how your representative voted on previous bills, what bills they sponsored, and provides links for you to send your opinions. It distributed a newsletter for this week, the second newsletter in the 100 hours.

The new Democratic House leadership intends to spend the first "100 hours" of the legislative session to vote on legislation the Democrats believe are important to the voters. Weigh in with your views on these issues and the site tabulates the results daily.

The BeltwayProgressive site has the links to Congress.org for a quick way to contact your Congressman on each pending bill. For example, see how Tom Davis voted, 4 of 5 of the last key votes for the out of touch Republican Party.
