On January 14, Harrison Hierth, the father of Virginia State Senator Mary Margaret Whipple who represents the 31st Senate District, died in Texas at the age of 94. For many years, Harrison Hierth headed the English Department at Texas A & M University. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, Texas this Saturday, January 20. The burial will be next week in Illinois.The Arlington County Democratic Committee expresses its condolences to Senator Whipple and her family.
