Robert Francis "Bob" McDonnell, the Republican nominee for Attorney General, is quite a character.  Believe it or not, this is a man who can?t remember if he's ever engaged in sodomy. That?s right, let?s reiterate: "Bob" McDonnell can?t remember if he ever engaged in sodomy. To quote Barnie Day: ?Think about it. He can?t remember. He can?t recall. Think about that one for a minute.? Now, here?s Jim Spencer of the Hampton Roads Daily Press on ol? Robert Francis McDonnell:

McDonnell, a man considering a run for Virginia attorney general, apparently has decided to warm up by appointing himself head of Virginia?s new Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice.

If you thought such overbearing minions of morality existed only among Afghan extremists, think again. Taliban Bob says Newport News Circuit Judge Verbena Askew may not be fit for reappointment to the bench if she ever violated the state?s crimes-against-nature law?.

Taliban Bob, a graduate of Pat Robertson?s Regent University Law School and a darling of Robertson?s Christian Coalition, assumes that the harassment claim might mean that [Newport News Circuit Judge Verbena] Askew might be a lesbian. And if she is, McDonnell says, she may not be judicial material. Then, he defends his bigotry by hiding behind the crimes-against-nature law.

Here's what the Virginia Family Values PAC has to say about "Taliban Bob":

The idea of McDonnell being Virginia?s attorney general should terrify Virginia families?.When asked by a reporter if he had ever engaged in sodomy, McDonnell declared: ?Not that I can recall.? Confidential to McDonnell: Either you?re a liar, or you?re really, really pathetic. Which is it??McDonnell is another RINO (Republican In Name Only) ? he wants to shrink government until it?s small enough to fit into the keyhole of your bedroom door. Electing McDonnell to attorney general would be a huge victory for anti-freedom, anti-privacy, and anti-family forces in Virginia.

Heard enough?  Then vote for Creigh Deeds this November!
