The "Widening Rift Among Virginia Republicans"

See here for more, including how our favorite firebrand, flat-earth Virginia conservative not only are opposing increased revenues for desperately needed transportation improvements, they actually are calling for new tax CUTS!  As the Post article points out:

The division could have big implications for the primary and general election. Kaine and Democratic leaders have warned that they will try to unseat Republican lawmakers in traffic-clogged Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads who oppose tax increases for transportation.

We can only hope.  C'mon, conservatives, stick to your guns (literally, in many of your cases), don't give in, keep widening that "rift," keep taking your party down in flames along with you!  Note: the previous sentence was simply some advice from a friendly Democratic blogger.  Ha. :)

This can help progressives (Rebecca - 1/12/2007 11:28:52 AM)
The nice thing about being a progressive is that we don't have to tow the Party line. This riff can help progressive candidates if they can appeal to disaffected Republicans. BTW, I think people should have guns. I wouldn't want Bush's army to be the only people with guns. Look what happened in New Orleans. People who were trying to defend their property were treated like common criminals for having guns. Not only that most of the people who were permitted to have guns were mercenaries hired by who-knows-who.
