Congratulations to Conaway Haskins, author of the "South of the James" blog who has been named Jim Webb's Deputy State Director.  According to a press release by Senator-elect Webb:

As Deputy State Director, Haskins will assist in managing WebbGÇÖs regional offices and in coordinating constituent casework.  He will also focus on economic development and special projects.  Haskins currently serves as a Senior Program Officer for the Cameron Foundation, a non-profit organization in the Petersburg area that focuses on regional development.  He holds a B.A from George Mason University and a M.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Other Webb Senate office appointments include:

*Michael Sozan GÇô Legislative Director
*Kathryn M. Wilmoth GÇô Administrative Director
*Louise F. Ware GÇô State Directo
*Gordon I. Peterson GÇô Military Legislative Assistant
*Lisa Marie Stark GÇô Director of Scheduling
*Michael GÇ£MacGÇ¥ McGarvey GÇô Legislative Assistant for Veterans Affairs

According to the press release, "Webb noted that additional staff members will be appointed over the next several weeks."  As far as I can tell, it's "so far, so good."
