Morris Meyer, who is running for the House of Delegates, will be live blogging on Bryan Scrafford's site from 6-7pm tonight. Follow this link to leave questions or simply see what's going on.

Morris is running in the 40th District against Republican Incumbent Tim Hugo. As you may remember, Hugo was one of the Republicans that the Washington Post believes "can expect stiff challenges." Well, apparently Tim Hugo agrees because he has already sent out an email begging for funds.
In addition to admitting that Democrats are confident that Morris could win after running a good campaign, Hugo mentioned that "it is vital that I have impressive financial numbers." This is because he now realizes that he must show the voters that he "will not take [his] re-election for granted." Now it could just be me, but shouldn't he have done that from the beginning of his tenure in the House of Delegates?

As we begin to shift our attention to the 2007 elections, I strongly encourage you to learn about the Democratic candidates. Participating in this live blog would be a great place to start.

Morris and WaPo are making Hugo Nervous (NovaDem - 12/13/2006 5:42:13 PM)
Check this link to see the fundraising letter that Del. Hugo sent out in response to Morris's candidacy and a recent WaPo article talking about his race being targted.  Seems he might be regretting giving away all his money to fellow Repulicans these last two cycles.
