CONNOLLY TO HOST THANK YOU PARTY FOR WEBB VOLUNTEERS

FCDC and 8th, 10th, 11th  CDs CoSponsor Event for Webb, Moran, Hurst, Feder Workers

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerry Connolly will host a GÇ£Thank You BrunchGÇ¥ on December 16 for Democrats who volunteered for the 2006 campaign for Senator-elect Jim Webb as well as the campaigns of Congressman Jim Moran, Andy Hurst, and Judy Feder.

The Fairfax County Democratic Committee, and the 8th, 10th, and 11th Congressional District Democratic Committees are cosponsoring the event that will take place on Saturday, December 16, from 11 am to 2 pm at AldoGÇÖs Italian Steakhouse, 7630 Lee Highway, Falls Church.

GÇ£We want to thank the many volunteers who contributed so much of their time, energy, and money to support Jim Webb and our Democratic candidates in 2006,GÇ¥ Connolly said.  GÇ£We also want to make sure these dedicated volunteers know that we want them to stay involved in the political process and the Democratic Party in 2007 and beyond so we can build on our victories and help turn Virginia a bright shade of blue.GÇ¥

Senator-elect Jim Webb and 11th CD candidate Andy Hurst are scheduled to attend and invitations to Congressman Jim Moran and 10th CD candidate Judy Feder are pending.

It's really important to demonstrate a welcoming inclusive attitude and this kind of event does just that.  Good for him - whatever he's running for.
