Another HR delegate (Vivian J. Paige - 11/24/2006 5:38:20 PM)
And she's one of the good ones. (BTW - in case youd don't recognize the folks in the photo - that is Delegate Jeion Ward on the left.)

I recognized one (RenaRF - 11/24/2006 6:06:31 PM)
but not the other.  Or rather, I knew who two of them were.  :-)

2006 Democrat of the Year (Newport News Dem - 11/24/2006 6:06:50 PM)
Delegate BaCote shared our "Hunter Andrews Peninsula Democrat of the Year" with Delegate Ward. This is presented by the combined Committees of Newport News, Hampton and York County.

Last year's winner was Congressman Scott.

Yea Mamie (lgb30856 - 11/24/2006 6:41:31 PM)
she is one tough cookie, that lady. She is awesome.
We need more like her.

Is She a ProChoice Catholic? (d'moore - 11/25/2006 8:47:48 AM)
Just wondering since she hightlights her involvement with the Catholic church.
I'm guessing she voted in favor of sending the marriage amendment to the voters, right or wrong?

Voted Nay (Newport News Dem - 11/26/2006 4:21:40 PM)

Del. BaCote is wonderful. (summercat - 11/25/2006 5:18:17 PM)
She and Del. Ward are models of responsiveness and responsibility.  Our Hampton Roads Republican delegates could take lessons from them.
